Yonsei University Foreign Student Admissions Unit
Guidelines
1) In principle, new students for the year of 2023 must complete Residential College education during the first
and second semesters (one regular year) at the international campus.
However, some faculties (departments) may be separately determined as follows.
- In the College of Music (all departments), all courses including the first year are completed at the Sinchon Campus.
- Freshmen from the Department of Physical Education and Sports Applied Industry of the College of Education and Science complete only the first semester of their first year at the international campus.
2) The above admission unit is an undergraduate course taught in Korean, and depending on the department,
some lectures may be taken in the original language (English).
3) For majors (departments) marked with †, teaching courses are installed.
4) The Department of Architectural Engineering is divided into specific majors
[Architecture (5 years), Architectural Engineering (4 years)].
5) Current status of education certification
- The Department of Business Administration at the College of Business received education accreditation from
the ‘Korea Management Education Accreditation Service’, ‘AACSB (USA)’, and ‘EQUIS (Europe)’
- The Department of Medicine at the College of Medicine received education accreditation from the Korea
Institute of Medical Education and Evaluation.
- The Department of Dentistry at the College of Dentistry has received educational accreditation from the Korea
Dental Education and Evaluation Institute.
- The Department of Nursing in the College of Nursing has been accredited by the Korea Institute of Nursing
Education and Evaluation.
6) Applicants may not be selected if it is judged that it is difficult to study at Yonsei University.
Yonsei University Foreign Student Admissions Eligibility
Foreigners whose parents are both foreigners and have graduated from high schools in Korea or abroad (scheduled)
※ Prospective graduates must graduate by February 28, 2023
Pre-Medical, Pre-Dental, Nursing, Pharmacy Applicants Additional Eligibility
: You must submit a score of level 5 or higher in the Korean Language Proficiency Test (certificate of completion)
at Yonsei University Korean Language Institute by the deadline for submitting documents or the TOPIK level 5 or
higher by the National Institute of International Education.
